Rosetta Stone

In the golden days, we wondered.

Hands out
reaching
in the dark.

Our curiosity lead,
we flourished.

Bright and shining everything.

Our eyes,

fixed on glimmer,

faltered.

Lead astray.
Lied to.

In the end,
We knew.

But we were too confused
and too afraid

To move.
